Jerre and Phyllis provide knowledgeable instruction in a safety conscious environment. Jerre teaches the intermediate and advanced riders. His hour lessons are taught in a group or privately, depending on the needs and desires of the rider. Lessons are individualized to focus on each horse and rider combination on teaching the rider how to effectively obtain results and showcase the horse. Instruction can be taken on Hammer Creek Farm’s experienced school horses or riders may ride their own horses, whether they are boarded at Windy Mansion Equestrian Center or trailered in for the lesson.

Phyllis has been teaching for over 20 years and instructs the beginner and novice riders. She starts her students in private 30 minute weekly lessons. She stresses safety and good basics so riders can become competent and confident. She incorporates grooming into her lessons so that riders can also perform routine care for the animals they ride. Riders must be at least 6 years old to begin lessons. Phyllis also enjoys teaching adults who would like to start a new sport. A number of her students ride for pleasure, never intending to enter the show ring.
